KC Panels

  Industrial Applications

Kyocera has perfected the 15cm square multicrystaline solar cell, with conversion efficency over 14%.

The KC series solar modules incorporate EVA pottant with PVF backing laminated to tempered glass, assembled in an anodised and clear coated aluminium frame and equipped with a weatherproof junction box.

Tempered glass surface is texured to help minimise reflective glare.

All KC series solar modules have bypass diodes installed across every eighteen cells in series.

All KC Series modules are UL and cUL listed and CE certified. Each module carries a 25 year limited warranty. Modules sizes available in Australia are listed below:

KC158 - 158 Watts
KC120 - 120 Watts
KC80 - 80 Watts
KC60 - 60 Watts
KC40 - 40 Watts
KC35 - 35 Watts

US Panels

The heart of the US series modules is the Triple Junction silicon solar cell unique to United Solar. Each cell is composed of three semiconductor junctions stacked on top of each other.

The Triple Junction cells are made by depositing the active silicon material on unbreakable stainless steel sheet metal and then bonded to an additional galvanised steel backplate, which provides stiffness.

The cells are then encapsulated in UV stabilised polymers and laminated with a Tefzel clear front surface and then bonded into an anodised aluminum frame, no glass is used.

Uni-Solar also have the same Tefzel modules available in a flexible range as well. Modules sizes available in Australia are listed below:

US64 - 64 Watts USF32 - 32 Watts Flexible
US42 - 42 Watts USF11 - 11 Watts Flexible
US32 - 32 Watts US5 - 5 Watts Flexible
US21 - 21 Watts
US11 - 11 Watts
US5 - 5 Watts
US3 - 3 Watts

Regulators

The main function of a controller or regulator is to fully charge a battery without permitting overcharge or reverse current flow at night.

If a solar array is connected to lead-acid batteries with no overcharge protection, battery life will be compromised.

Simple controllers contain a relay that opens the charging circuit, terminating the charge at a pre-set high voltage and, once a pre-set low voltage is reached, closes the circuit again, allowing charging to continue.

More sophisticated controllers utilize pulse-width modulation (PWM) or maximum power-point tracking (MPPT) to assure the battery is being fully charged in the most efficient manner.

Inverters

The inverter is a basic component of medium to large PV systems, converting low-voltage DC power from the batteries into high-voltage AC power as needed.

Today's inverters are very efficient and reliable.

Modified sine and sinewave inverters are the two main types.

Pumps

With vast experience and thousands of pumps and controllers in service around the globe, Kyocera is the world's leading manufacturer of solar electric water pumping systems.

We produce a full range of solar-powered pumps and systems that are changing the way water is delivered to farms and communities when utility service is expensive, unreliable or non-existent.

Kyocera engineers have designed the most efficient DC motor available for water pumping.

This breakthrough in motor technology means Kyocera's deep-well, submersible solar pumps can deliver water at the lowest system cost.

Everywhere the sun shines, Kyocers pumping systems quietly provide a steady supply of water affordably, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner.
